On Forgiveness

Forgiveness is allowing the other person to take full responsibility for their own actions and the consequences.

This concept jumped at me from the pages of "Men are Like Waffles, Women are Like Spaghetti" as I read it a few days ago. I've been chewing on it ever since.

I suspect that it may be limited, perhaps even flawed, as a definition of what forgiveness is. But it helped me move another teensy step forward with some ridiculously tough memories that keep bugging me even though I've walked through layer after layer of forgiveness.
